Right now Landrover Germany arranges a photo and video contest. All you had to do is give them your defender moments as a picture or video. We were chosen to be one of the best 10 per month. To be the winner of the month, please vote for us. We might get the chance to win one of the last Defender 90 built for germany.

We are waiting for the defreezing of the two pump stations of Uyuni, David and Silvie from france, also overlanding, do the same. So we have a little chat with the conclution of us having the same idea and destination: spending one night on the salt lake, the salar. After all our preparations (cover the car in oil, fueling up) we start our jointveture. David and Silvie have coordinates to an island - we go with the flow and follow them as if they are our tour guides. What realy grinds my gears again: The clown who is only allowed to check the passports, wants some money from us to enter the Salar, we give the coins we have, although it's not the amount the funny guy wanted. Silvie does the trick: first "I have to check the car for money" then she delivers a banana to the monkey. He is kind of upset, and after a while of discussing, he waves them through without payment. It's a beatifull night without wind, not too cold, a overwhelming experience. We end the evening with the french with wine and pasta. In the morning we go different ways, the want to climb the vulcano, we just want to get to La Paz and keep going. This day we saw the 5:0 in the match Germany VS Brazil. The police guys are pretty confuesd at this halftime of the match, so they just wave us through...
